Our Ethics

At Trade To Aid, everything we do is rooted in health, sustainability, and ethical responsibility. We’re a non-profit initiative on a mission to make period products accessible to everyone—especially those in crisis. That means every pack you buy funds a donation to a refugee in need, as well as menstrual health education in West Africa.

We’re also proud to be 100% vegan-friendly, carbon neutral, and committed to ethical labour and fair tax. Here’s how we put our values into action:

Vegan-Friendly by Design

All Trade To Aid products are 100% vegan. That means no animal ingredients and no animal testing—because we believe in protecting all living beings.

While some of the scientific research we reference may involve animal testing, we do not support these practices. Instead, we advocate for non-animal alternatives and more human-relevant research in the scientific community.

Choosing vegan products isn’t just better for animals—it’s better for the planet. Animal agriculture is a leading contributor to climate change and environmental degradation. By offering vegan products, we’re helping reduce that impact.

Carbon Neutral & Climate Conscious

We take real, measurable action to reduce our environmental impact. Here’s what we’re doing:

  • Minimising air freight to drastically cut down transport emissions.

  • Running our website on green-powered data centres, and powering our offices with renewable energy.

  • Offsetting all remaining emissions since 2017—via CarbonFootprint.com (2017–2021) and Ecologi (2022–present).

  • Planting one tree for every order since 2024, helping us go beyond neutrality and actively restore ecosystems.

  • Avoiding plastic wherever possible—from production to packaging—and using biodegradable alternatives instead.

Ethical Labour & Working Conditions

We believe everyone in our supply chain deserves fair, safe, and respectful working conditions.

Since 2019, we’ve required all suppliers to meet or exceed the standards set by the Fair Labor Association Code of Conduct. We also support ethical international trade that provides meaningful employment opportunities in developing countries.

Fair Tax Commitment

Trade To Aid is registered in the UK as a company limited by guarantee (Gardiner Foundation), and we proudly pay our full and fair share of UK corporation tax. Because doing good means playing fair—at every level.

Our Commitment To The Planet

We plant one tree for every order through our partner Ecologi, helping to restore ecosystems and absorb more CO₂ than each delivery creates. We power our operations with renewables, offset remaining transport emissions, and avoid plastic wherever possible.
